Gay Pride Sitges 2010 has announced that the Pride Festival will be extended by 2 days. It kicks off as before on Friday the 9th of July and finishes on Tuesday the 13th of July.

Two huge parties have been added to the Friday and Saturday Nights. They will take place in the large Parc Can Robert. A series of spectacular shows, DJS and more are planned from 12am to 6am. And all of the bars will be open extra late on the Friday Night. The parade still takes place on the Saturday afternoon and the Party on the Promenade will kick off every day from 5pm until late. Circuit Pride Party

On Sunday Afternoon from 5pm, the biggest Tea Dance event of the Summer will take place at L’Atlantida as the Circuit Party hosts its pre-Party at what is one of the most amazing outdoor clubs in Europe. If you were at the closing party last year in August then you will know that this is an event that won’t disappoint. And as the event finishes late on Sunday evening after the sun sets, the town will come to life with all of the bars, clubs and the promenade packed full of international visitors. Gay Pride Sitges - Pride Closing Party

Finally the pride will close with a Gay Beach Party to remember on the Tuesday the 13th of July. Details are still being finalised but there will also be a series of activities during the Monday afternoon..as people chill out before the closing event! Stay tuned for details.

Tips to getting your Sitges Apartment or Hotel for major Events!

Sitges Events Hotel and Apartment

We had an email yesterday from a very upset guy from Canada. He was planning a trip for Pride and had read somewhere that nearly every hotel was booked solid!

Well. YES, it is very busy, but lets separate fact from fiction. Here’s a few hints on how to get the Hotel or Apartment you want for Carnival, Sitges, Fiesta Mayor or indeed any time of the year during the peak season.

1. Book Early – Yes, we know we’ve said it before, but the earlier you book, the better!

2. Stay a while – Don’t expect the hotels to have availability for just one night in August or for the day of the Pride Parade – Its not going to happen! If you want a hotel or apartment for a key event, then you need to stay at least a minimum of 4 to 7 days, not just one or two!

The AFGAL committee are currently preparing preliminary plans for the events to be held during next year’s Pride in Sitges. And they want your suggestions.

If you have an idea for an event, activity, theme or other suggestion, then email them to info@afgal.com. All ideas are welcome. You can also email us if you want to become a volunteer. If you can paint, sew, organise etc.. we’re looking for your help!

Sitges Pride takes place from the 9th to the 11th of July 2010.
