Pintxos

Try a “Pintxos”… delicious tapas skewed on a toothpick… You pay at the end by counting the number of toothpicks you have accumulated! Great with some delicious Spanish wines!

The range and quality of restaurants in Sitges is superb. Restaurants serving Catalan and regional Spanish cuisine are extremely popular. There are also restaurants catering to International tastes including Thai, Japanese, Indonesian, French and Chinese. If you are looking for the vegetarian option, then you will be disappointed. Meat is very very popular in Spain!

Most Spanish people eat late so don’t be surprised  if you find your restaurant empty at 9pm.  Dinner Shows are very popular during the Summer season. The two most popular dinner shows are the Parrots Show featuring Lady Diamond on Fridays & Tuesdays (peak season) and The Cabaret Show at Queenz throughout the Summer. Both kick off from around 9pm and reservations are essential.

Remember that restaurant opening times can very, especially during the off season. Some restaurants also do lunch as well as dinner.  You can choose from the “Menu del dia” or daily specials for lunch from EUR 10 per person.  Most of the restaurants in the centre will have an a la carte offering together with a set menu. Set menu’s offer great value and often include wine and 3 courses for just under EUR 20.

A lazy Sunday afternoon lunch is also a popular option. L’Angle’s famous Sunday roasts are recommended, so book in advance.  Those of you looking for the perfect Paella might want to consider checking out the La Arrocería del Terramar which offers an amazing selection of rice dishes. The fine-dine restaurant of the Picnic group is also great for seafood.  You should also consider a trip to Sitges Port – L’Aiguacdolc and dine by the marina. The seafood here is superb and the views of the million dollar yachts are breathtaking.

Spanish Tapas is world famous and there are some excellent Tapas bars in Sitges. Pay a visit to “La Picara” and try some of their tempting dishes accompanied by a glass of their house Riojas…. sublime. Finally, those looking to start the day with a tasty breakfast should head to “Incognito Cafe” just off C.Espalter.

If you are going out to eat for a special event or occasion, then please make sure you book ahead. There is nothing worse than wondering the busy streets of Sitges in the heat with nowhere to eat!  Our top two favourites for something memorable are Maricel and La Fragata, both on Sitges seafront overlooking the Mediterranean.

  • Reservations - When to eat?

Reserve your table for the Dinner shows at Parrots Restaurant and L’Ambassade. They book up early! In general people go for dinner from around 9.30pm, but you can get a meal in most restaurants right up to 11.30pm.

  • Our favourites! - From Breakfast to Dessert

For breakfast try Incognito. For Tapas checkout La Picara. For Coffee head to Montroig and for dessert try the Red Velvet Bakery! Delicious.

  • Fancy some vino?

Sitges is right in the heart of the Penedes region, the largest cava and wine producing area in Spain.  Try some of the delicious wines by Torres , the world famous nearby winery and don’t forget the Cava – Cordon Negro –  by Freixenet.  Also worth mentioning is Sitges local “Malvasia”, a delicious sweet wine, perfect with deserts and is limited to less than 4,500 bottles per year.
