Sitges Film Festival 2017
Sitges Film Festival specialises in all forms of Horror, Sci Fi and Anime. It is one of the most important genre based festivals in the world.
This year Sitges Film Festival is celebrating 50 years of Star Trek. Each Day the Miramar space will feature 5 of the very best of each Star Trek Series, Star Trek, The Original Series, Star Trek: The New Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager/ Star Trek: Enterprise and the Star Trek Movies.
Sitges 2016 will play host to more than 200 titles, rocking some of this year’s most ground-breaking films.
Other highlights include the Samsung Sitges Cocoon which brings virtual reality to the Sitges Film Festival. In this room with virtual reality fantastic content, spectators will be able to immerse themselves in an insane asylum, a haunted house and cage full of zombies or even travel through space.
Meanwhile Christopher Walken will receive the Grand Honorary Award at the event.
One of the highlights of the event is the Sitges Zombie Walk which has become one of the largest of its kind in Europe. Hundreds of people gather early for a free horror makeup session at Sant Sebastià Beach. Places are limited to 350 people (all tickets will be handed out at 12.)
This years route includes, Carrer de la Davallada, Plaça de l’Ajuntament, Plaça Cap de la Vila, Carrer Marquès Montroig, Passeig de la Ribera and finishes at Platja de la Fragata
