Sitges Carnival 2020 – What not to miss from the official program!
This year’s Sitges Carnival 2020 will see more than 300,000 people visit Sitges during the festivities and include a new Drag Queen Gala, 43 floats and more than 2000+ participants in the parade.
Sunday Feb 15th – Sitges First Drag Queen Gala
17.30 Musical show where the main event is a Drag Queen contest, enlivened with other performances of singers, dance numbers and the participation of Sitges Carnival groups from all entities. With the special participation of the Children’s Carnival Queen 2020, and the performance of guest artists.

Thursday Feb 20th – The Arrival of the King
19.20 Legend says that on 20-02-2020 a previously unseen phenomenon will take place in La Fragata of Sitges. The Being of everything and nothing, of truth and lies, of creation and destruction …an ancestral act that will be full of music, colour, dance and theatre.
Saturday 22 – The Bed Race
12.00 A crazy bed race through the centre of Sitges, with the route as follows: Bed Race route: Francesc Gumà, Jesús, Cap de la Vila, Parellades, Sant Pau, Passeig de la Ribera, Sant Pere, Parellades, Bonaire, Passeig de la Ribera until la Fragata.
Sunday 23 – The First Parade

Starting earlier this year, Route: Starts at the bottom of Avinguda Sofia, Passeig de la Ribera (sea side), La Fragata, Passeig de la Ribera (mountain side), Bassa Rodona, Plaça del Pou Vedre, Espalter, Sant Francesc and Cap de la Vila.
Tuesday 23rd – The Second Parade
21:00h RUA DE L’EXTERMINI
Route: Starts at the bottom of Avinguda Sofia, Passeig de la Ribera (sea side), La Fragata, Passeig de la Ribera (mountain side), Bassa Rodona, Plaça del Pou Vedre, Espalter, Sant Francesc and Cap de la Vila.
Wednesday 26 – The Burial of the King
18:50h HM CARNESTOLTES’ BURIAL
HM Carnestoltes will be taken from the town hall to the beach of La Fragata, accompanied by his entourage, the Queen, the mourner’s cortège and all those who wish to pay their respects to the King, along the following route: c/ Major, Cap de la Vila, c/ Parellades, c/ Bonaire and Passeig de la Ribera at the height of the monument to El Greco.
19:20h Farewell ceremony at the beach of La Fragata where His Majesty’s will and last wishes shall be read.
