The 2013 official program for Fiesta Mayor is online. Unfortunately it is not in English, but its quite easy to use Google Translate. The one day you don’t want to miss is Friday the 23rd of July, when the huge fireworks spectacular takes place on the beach at 11pm. Get there early to grab a good spot to see everything. Remember, the further away from the church, the more you will see!
Sitges annual celebration of the town takes place from the 20th to the 25th of August. Its full of cultural events, dances, parades and more culminating in a huge fireworks display right on the seafront.
The main fireworks will take place on Friday the 23rd of August at 11pm. Get your space on the paseo early if you want to grab a good view!

La Villa, one of the newest gay bars in Sitges is located in the heart of the Gay Village on C.Joan Tarrida.
Already one year old, the bar is proving to be a welcoming venue for both locals and visitors.

Fiesta Mayor and its a time when everyone parties hard and late!
And what better place to party than in Organic.
Open from 2am, the club is the perfect place to visit once you complete your tour of your favorite Sitges bars.
Located on C.Boniare, it is right in the heart of the Gay Village.
And you get reduced entry before 2.30am.
Organic is open every night during the Summer Season with many theme nights and special parties. Check for local flyers.

This year’s Fiesta Mayor parades took on a different route..
The fireworks, beasties and their entourage made their way right past the doors of Parrots Pub and Terrace..
Plz. Industria has never been so busy..
The street was packed with all sorts of devils, beasts and characters celebrating Sitges Fiesta Mayor or Festa Major in Catalan.
It is the annual party for Sitges patron Saint and one that lasts the entire week!
Spectators are advised to wear straw hats and sunglasses if they want to take part in the dance of fire..
Don’t wear anything expensive either.. these are real sparks and they burn… but its great fun!
The parade made its way through the entire town as the Giants danced and the bands played on.
The entire event will be repeated in late September during the Santa Tecla festival..just tin case you missed this one!

If you were on the Ribera side of the church this year for the Fiesta Mayor Fireworks, then you may have had difficulty seeing many of the fireworks that were high in the sky, due mainly to the extreme humidity and the lack of any wind at sea, to blow the smoke away.
The best views were on the San Sebastian side of the church, particularly high-up by the Hotel Melia Sitges.
They were truly spectacular and despite the smokey view, the atmosphere on the beaches was amazing, as it always is in Sitges!
See you in Sitges for Fiesta Mayor – Festa Major 2011, when the fireworks will take place on Tuesday August 23rd. And remember you can view more fireworks and an amazing end of Summer festival in Stiges during Santa Tecla on September, 20th to 27th.
The Spirit of Sitges Pride returned to L’Atlantida on Tuesday Night.
The Gay Beach Party finished off a crazy Fiesta Mayor week of celebrations.
The party attracted thousand of guys from around the world.
And of course we had some very special guests…
Lady Diamond and Miss Ruby were the stars of the show, along with their crew of merry devotees and girls in training!
The Gay Beach Party takes place every Tuesday night during the Summer months.
L’Atlantida is a truly spectacular location. Just 10 minutes from Sitges, there is a free bus from outside the Hotel Calipolis every 15 minutes.
The parties continue next Tuesday with their Pink, Plastic and Fantastic “Barbie and Ken Night”…
Festivities come to an end the following Tuesday Night, the 7th of September.. it should be an interesting mix of Boys and Bears..
