Sitges Carnival – 2014 – Important updates..

Sitges carnival

This year Sitges Carnival has made some changes to the parade structure. This year there will be no long delays between floats. The performances in Cap de La Vila (which took an average of 10 minutes per float) will no longer take place. While the parade route has not changed, the focus of the activities will take place along the seafront where there is much more room to watch and enjoy the spectacle. There are 50 floats this year.

The main parades take place on the following days:

  • Thursday 27th of February – the king and queen of Carnival will be presented at La Fragata at 7.30pm
  • Sunday 2nd and Tuesday 5th of March – the main two parades will leave from Cap de la Vila from 7pm.
  • Wednesday 6th March – the death of the king and his burial – La Fragata from 5.30pm.
