Interestingly, looking out recent Statistics… the google search terms “Nude Beaches Sitges” is very popular….hmmm!

Remember, there are 2 nudist beaches and one main gay beach in Sitges, however during the peak summer months you will find gay people on all of the beaches…. although the boys who like to “see and be seen” tend to hang out at the Gay Beach in front of the Calipolis Hotel.

Work Begins on Balmins Promenade

Balmins Beach Sitges

Those of you venturing down to San Sebastian Beach recently will have noticed the ongoing roadworks. The works are part of a plan to link Balmins Beach to San Sebastian via a pedestrian promenade. Currently its a bit of a trek to get to the nudist beaches, but with this promenade, you will have a beautiful sea view all the way… Works are due for completion before the start of the 2009 season.

The sun returned to Sitges today and locals and visitors alike made the best of it and headed to the beaches from early in the morning.

As always, Sitges is awash with cute owners and their dogs… the ultimate accessory here!

La Fragata beach also saw a team of windsurfers practising… there were about 6 of them in total!

And whilst some guys were full of energy…phew….

Others just relaxed and watched the guys go by… After a rather wet Corpus weekend.. this was just what the town needed!

Sitges from the Sky – A tour…

This is a treat for those of you who have never been to Sitges. Its a sort of mini-ariel-tour of the town from Gay Sitges Guide. Its also a handy reference for finding the other gay nudist beach, Playa del Meurte (Dead Man’s Beach).

As you can see from above, the famous Sitges church is in the old town… yes there is a whole other part of Sitges behind the church and it is well worth exploring with some of the buildings dating back to the 1300’s.

As you continue along Sitges 4kms+ line of beautiful beaches you will find all sorts of water sport activites taking place, from para-surfing to windsailing.

At the end of Sitges you will find the golf course and the Sunway Apartments. This is your first point of reference to find the Nudist Gay Beach.

Then its on past the L’Atlantida Disco, which holds the Gay Beach Party every year.
Continue along up past the railway (go over the tunnel… not through it!)

Follow the multi-coloured signs that have been sprayed onto the walls.

And there you have it. Its a bit of a walk…but the beach is good fun, you get to meet some great people…and the forest behind the beach has something for everyone! Enjoy.

Sitges Summer 2008

This weekend saw some beautiful weather return to Sitges.. just in time for the start of season. The beaches were packed and people were even swimming in the water!

And that’s not all… more and more “Sitges Virgins” are starting to visit Sitges… (thats people who’ve never been before fyi)…. lovely!

And on Sunday we were treated to some amazing windsurfing acrobatics with a team of Italian windsurfers practising just off the port. What a weekend.

No you’re not seeing things. Its nude boggie boarding! Those of you who have been to Sitges before are aware of how liberal the sunbathing scene is in Spain. However for our “Sitges Virgins”, there are several Nudist Beaches in Sitges.

This weekend reminded everyone in Sitges how amazing the town can be when the sun really shines. And yes, the beaches were packed on Sunday and some brave boys even went in swimming!
