Cine Cafe presents The Myst

Cine Cafe

Cine Cafe have a very special event for you this Saturday. They will be showing Stephen King’s – The Mist at 9pm

This is the latest movie from the collaboration of Frank Darabont and Stephen King. Their other movies were The Shawshank Redemption (which always makes the top ten lists of one of the best movies ever made) and The Green Mile.

The Mist tells the story of a small town which is overtaken by a strange mist with some truly terrible creatures in it. It focuses on those residents who are trapped in a supermarket. It is a very tense and very dark movie that has a real feeling of dread.

The Mist opens here in Spain this Summer and has not had a release date set for it yet in the UK – so this is a very special event. The movie is on at 9pm and we’ll precede it with an episode from Stephen King’s Nightmares and Dreamscapes series at 7:30pm.

This years Sitges Car Rally was a spectacular success. With more than 150 entries it was one of the biggest ever.

The event celebrated its 50th anniversary this year with cars entering from all over Europe.

The cars made their way through the town after a 2 hour jaunt from Barcelona.

Car Rally

For those of you not in Sitges, or those who don’t want to go into town to watch it, the Car Rally will be streamed live from the webcam on Sunday from 11.30am.

50th Sitges International Car Rally.

Sitges Car Rally

The 50th Sitges Car Rally takes place this weekend. The schedule is as follows:

Saturday the 30th 2008

9am – Arrival of the participants to the marquis plaza of pompous (Montjuïc). Exposition of the participating coaches until 5pm.

Sunday the 31st 2008

8.30am to 10.30am – Sant Jaume plaza, Arrival of the participating cars with drivers wearing 1920’s costumes.

11am – Departure for Sitges.

12.30pm – Arrival of the cars in Sitges, taking the following route: Av. Balmins, Rafael Llopart, Jesus, Pl. Cap de la vila, Parellades, Bonaire ending at La Fragata.
