Organic reopens Easter weekend in a sure sign that the season is about to begin and the tourists roll in. Easter is normally seen as a return to business-as-usual in Sitges so expect to see most of the bars and clubs reopen. As always your favourite bars, Privilege, Prinz, Oreks, Bourbons, B-Side and Bear’s Bar are also open.

We’ve been receiving a lot of emails recently, asking about the best places to stay in Sitges. The answer? Well it all depends on what you’re looking for and how much you’re willing to pay. Sitges has a wide range of accommodation offerings, from private rooms to luxury Villas.
SitgesHolidayAccommodation.com has just put this beautiful apartment on the rental market. Its available for weekly rental and can sleep up to 10 guests comfortably.
The large and airy villa is in Vinyet, one of Sitges most exclusive neighbourhoods and is just 2 minutes from the beach.
Villa Catalan Grande boasts an impressive interior and has been totally reformed. SitgesHolidayAccomodation.com also offers several other Villas for rent. If you’re looking for privacy and luxury then a Villa is often the best option and can work out even more economical if you have friends staying with you.
If you have a car then the next two options are definitely worth considering. Whilst staying in the town is convenient, many people travel with Cars and need parking, which can be a nightmare in Sitges.
The Sunway apartments have all of the advantages of having an apartment in front of the sea and all the services of a 4-star-hotel: 2 swimming-pools, 24 h. front desk, mini-market, restaurant, bars, inside parking area, etc.
To view more information on the Sunway Apartments, visit their page on Gay Sitges Guide.
Finally, if you are looking for five star luxury, then look no further. The Dolce Sitges is one of the finest hotels in the area.
Yes, the hotel is far out from town, but if you are looking to treat yourself for a weekend of pampering, then the Dolce is the perfect place to start.
With a beautiful swimming pool, excellent fitness facilities and spectacular views of the Mediterranean, its definitely worth considering.

Whilst not at the top of the gay scene agenda, there was something every so slightly gay about attending a Patchwork fair! But we have to be honest and say that we were amazed that you could actually create such amazing artwork with just a needle and thread and a whole lot of patience.
These were our two favourites. Such Gay Icons! You see, even the patchwork in Sitges is interesting!
It was an early rise for most boys this Sunday. But it was worth getting up early if you were in Sitges. This year’s “Eternal Running” Competiton saw some of the hottest boys in Spain take part in a gruelling (make that yummy) run through Sitges.
We had boys of all types, from the ultra-fit marines to the triathlete boys with more muscles than….well if you were there you know what we mean! Several boys got lost over the mountain route due to bad signposting, aparently!
The event continues though to several other countries with the ultimate prize being awarded in Autumn 2007. To keep up to date visit the official site here.
Summertime officially starts this weekend, so you need to put your clocks forward one hour, at 2a.m. on Sunday morning, 25 March. We think if you’re going to loose an hour you may as well make it one to remember which is why we recommend you hit Parrots, Privilege, Prinz, Comodin, Bears Bar, B-Side, Bourbons and Oreks this Saturday Night. Visit the Gay Sitges Guide Bars Page for details on all of the bars in Sitges.
To be honest we can’t wait for Summertime. It marks the beginning of the build up to the Summer Season when we can welcome back some of our Brazilian friends who come to live here for the Summer such as Ricardo above.

The “Eternal Running” race takes place in Sitges this Sunday from 9.30. The race leaves from the front of the Sports Bar. Participants will gather at La Fragata Beach. Eternal Running is tough going. 10Kms through muddy waters, obstacles and rough terrain ensures that only the fittest boys take part! For more information visit the Eternal Running Sitges website.

When you’ve been in Sitges a while, its easy to become accustomed to the beautiful sights all around you. The next time you are walking on the promenade be sure to pay close attention to the edge of the walkway and look out for some beautiful sand sculptures.
Make sure if you take a photograph to reward the people who have put all of the effort into these creations.
The Homer Simpson creations are especially popular.
The best sand sculptures can usually be seen at the weekend close to the edge of La Fragata Beach. As the Summer season approaches, the sculptures take on even more spectacular guises! Gay Sitges Guide will keep an eye out for you and show you some of the best later on this year.

Sebastian, pictured above is the manager of Parrots Terrace and Pub. You know when the Season is about to kick off when Parrots reopens its doors after the Winter break. The tables were back out on Mont Roig on Sunday and the bar reopens officially this Thursday night.
