Sitges Bears week in September is one of the biggest and most popular Bear festivals in Europe attracting more than 10,000 visitors, bears, admirers, chasers, muscle bears and more. The “Bear Village” may be on the paseo, but the bears are everywhere – Sitges is transformed into a bear heaven for 10+ days.

Bears Bears…. Everywhere!

Sitges Bears Week has grown from a group of bears wanting to have a party to an international event that fills the town of Sitges during the first two weeks of September.

The Event

Next Edition– September Edition 2025 – Sept 5th to 14th 2025 – Check hotels for these dates.

Enjoy 10 days and nights of bear meet-ups, pool parties, t-dances and under-the-stars dancing in the open air Bear Village at Europe’s biggest bear event.

The Bear Village, located right by the seafront is the heart of the event, featuring international guest Bear DJs and a fun and friendly vibe. It’s easy to make new bear friends.

Each night has a different theme, followed by the official After Parties in The Beads Disco (Scandal, on Calle Bonaire). Don’t miss Saturday’s Mr Bear Sitges contest, or why not enter?

Other popular side-events include Sunday’s underwear parties at Bears Bar and the Leather Meet up on both Fridays, again at Bears Bear, the official Bear HQ during the event.

Official events also worth a mention include the Bears Dinner at the Hotel Calipolis.

Popular Hotels for Sitges Bears Week 2025

Each year we advise people to Book your hotel early as the town sells out and rates increase as the months progress. It is now the most expensive time to visit Sitges. The following hotels have large rooms, pools and lots of space:

The Sabatic – Marriott has opened a new hotel in Sitges, a luxury offering on the top of Av Sofia with spacious pool. All rooms have large balconies or terraces. (10 minute walk to the beach).

Hotel Antemare – Reopened in July, the hotel has one of the best pools in town (host to the official pride pool party) and reasonably close to the town centre, (10 min walk).

ME Hotel Sitges – Rated “Fabulous” with one of the best pools in town. Some think its a little far out, however you can catch the little train and a taxi costs about EUR 8. Rooms are stunning.

Eurostars Sitges – The only 5 star hotel in town. After a 14 Million euro refurbishment in 2021, the hotels rooms have been completely refreshed and with 3 pools to choose from, you may never want to leave. It is also close to the “Magical Forest” and the first gay beach in Europe, “Playa del Muerto”.

Sunway Playa Golf – Close to the ME Hotel, with two beautiful pools with spacious rooms and apartments and an excellent seafront restaurant.

The Bear Pool Party

Friday 11th September 2025 – The very first pool party of Bear Week. The furry Friday party is set to take over the stunning Clos De La Plana Villa, just outside Sitges.

Tickets are selling fast. VIP sold out – still general entrance and some sunbed + entry remain available.

Entrance includes a welcome drink and delicious gourmet buffet.

The setting is simply stunning, a luxurious villa with complimentary shuttle bus to and from Sitges. (journey time approx 10 mins).

The Bear Village

The bear village opens on Monday the 8th of September 2025 – Through to Sunday 15th September, 2025.

The Village opens on the Monday and continues right through to the end of the week on the 8th.

Located at the bottom of Calle Bonaire,on the seafront of Sitges, on Psg Ribera.

It Opens at 9pm and runs until 3am (3.30am on Friday and Saturday).

Parties taking place in the village include the White Night, the election of Mr Bear Sitges and other famous, well known parties from the bear circuit.

Bear VIP ZONE

September 5th – 15th 2025 – Welcome to the enchanting Bear Village in sunny Sitges! Once a year, this coastal haven transforms into the ultimate teddy-bear jamboree, but with a twist. Instead of plush toys, burly, bearded gentlemen take center stage!

The Drag Brunch – Bear Edition

The Bear Route – bars to visit!

Festivities on the first weekend leading up to the opening of the village. Early evening the bears meet on the streets of C Bonaire and Joan Tarrida with many people gathering on the corner of Bears Bar and visiting the different bars along the streets.

The bear village typically arrives on the first Monday of the week. During the weekend and indeed well beyond, Parrots Pub, Runway, Bears Bar, Man Bar and others form the nexus of “Bear Alley”, the nickname given to Calle Joan Tarrida and a nightly gathering spot for bears from all over the world.
