Sitges Castellers – The Human Towers…
No matter how often you see them, the human towers of “Castellers” are an amazing spectacle.
On Sunday afternoon the local Castellers gathered in the town square to put on a show that was simply amazing.
In Catalan the word castell means castle, although a castell with two persons per level is a torre (tower).
The Castellers perform regularly throughout the year but most notably at the beginning and end of the major festivals including the recent Fiesta Mayor and the upcomming Santa Tecla. Not to be missed!
